Lora Cecca Lyons, principal and owner of Lyons Leadership Coaching, has first-hand experience of the journey of motherhood and how easy it is to lose onself inside of its demands. It is through her personal journey and her own identity as a mother that led her to this work. Lora is passionate about what she does and, in truth, sees very little difference between who she is and what she does professionally.
She loves working with moms who are deeply committed to self discovery and growth, exploring and rediscovering their innate Sufficiency (enoughness) and stepping inside of their greatest selves inside all areas of their lives – as parents, professionals and citizens. She believes that when we invest in ourselves and heal past wounds, we benefit, and so do our children in a big way.
Lora is a personal and professional leadership coach specializing in Somatics, a linguistic and body-oriented methodology that helps you determine how you want to build your future and what competencies are needed in order to get you there. She coaches one-on-one with individuals in person and on the phone, works with groups and facilitates workshops and programs. Her work is drawn from a variety of discourses, including Communications Management, Sufficiency, Martial Arts, and Ontological and Somatic Coaching. This blend informs how she partners with people allowing them to become astute self observers and replace old patterned behavior with new ways of speaking and acting that align with their vision and most authentic and greatest self.
Lora holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and a master’s degree in Communications Management, in which she presented her thesis, “Saying What You Mean: The path to leadership through language and emotional intelligence” and is certified as a somatic coach by Strozzi Institute, the premier training institute for Embodied Leadership. She has also received three years of rigorous training and mentoring from Jennifer Cohen, master somatic coach and co-founder of Seven Stones Leadership. She also deeply immersed herself in the study and practice of Sufficiency which has enriched her professional offer and now is naturally integrated into her client work and her personal life.
Lora’s greatest inspiration for her work and vision are sourced by her wonderful husband, son and two daughters.
